No. 2 …and a golden pear

Once upon a time the little town, where the little girl grew up, was famous for pears. This was hundreds of years before she lived there but she had heard this was true. There were some pear trees in the garden of the Queens’s house but in all the years the little girl lived in the town she never once saw any pears on the trees. She wondered if the elusive pears were so special that they only appeared for a Queen. Maybe they were made of gold like in the fairytales.

The little girl was thought of the nursery rhyme

“I had a little nut tree.

Nothing would it bear.

But a silver nutmeg.

And a golden pear”
