No.13 Turrets, Archways, and some Flagstones

After years of Highland camping holidays there was a holiday to France and a visit to Carcassonne. Have you been there? Maybe not. Have you seen the film “Prince Of Thieves”? Well, that film was filmed there to represent Nottingham Castle. Carcassonne is a hilltop town, famous for the medieval citadel with walled fortifications and numerous towers.

The little girl had always loved turrets, archways, and flag stones so when she first saw Carcassonne she thought it was heart stopping, overwhelmingly beautiful. Almost too much, the little girl didn’t know where to look first. Almost too perfect. Everywhere was another gorgeous view that tugged at her heart strings. The little girl was speechless and could only gasp as she drank in the atmosphere. She was also amazed at how much it looked like her drawings of castles. It was as if the little girl had been there before, maybe in a previous life. The little girl certainly spent the day trying to remember her previous life there, trying to believe, make believe, make herself really believe. A magical place and the memories would stay with her always.
