No.14 Daydream Believer
The little girl was a creative person. She liked to make up stories, draw, paint, arrange furniture, choose outfits, sew, knit, cook, garden, anything and everything that could be called creative. It was even her task to decorate the Christmas tree every year and wrap the presents. Only creative activities in her world.
Her favourite creative activity was make believe planning. The little girl would plan holidays she would never go on, interiors for houses she would never own, parties she would never host, menus she would never cook, gardens she would never plant, and even plan the friends she would never make and the conversations and adventures that would never happen. The make believe planning would keep her brain busy if she had nothing to do but also when she should be concentrating on other things. Daydreaming people called it and daydreaming was discouraged.
The fact that daydreaming was always discouraged meant that the little girl just didn’t tell anyone about it and tried not to get caught doing it. Making sure she had time alone was the best way to indulge in thinking about the world that was in her head. It was her guilty secret. The little girl never told anyone about it…..until now.
